The photographic book moves your story, your images, and your vision into a powerful space where the viewer can interact with and experience your photographs authentically. Photographers, educators, and published authors Laurie Klein and Kate Jordahl will guide you in creating your own book project through discussions, in-depth feedback, and examples. Each of these exceptional mentors/teachers will bring her experience in realizing book projects to help you on your journey toward your own publication.

Through the eight 3-hour sessions, you will learn from Laurie and Kate’s experiences. Between them, Laurie and Kate have published over 25 books, both through major publishing houses and independently. From their examples and insights, you will plan and develop your own book project for publication. Topics such as goal setting, text options, layout design options, book proposals, publishing options, and promotion will be explored as well as image selection and expressive sequencing.

In April, we will gather for a Celebration Event for everyone to share their books!
