Pop-up Workshop at America’s Most Historic Prison

One of my favorite places to photograph these days is at the Eastern State Penitentiary. The stories and textures of the buildings are ready to be told. Eastern State Penitentiary was once the most famous and expensive prison in the world but stands today in ruin, a haunting world of crumbling cellblocks and empty guard towers. Its vaulted, sky-lit cells once held many of America’s most notorious lawbreakers, including “Slick Willie” Sutton and “Scarface” Al Capone.”

Join Laurie at this incredible historic venue for a day of shooting in this abandoned prison and stretch your creative horizons. In the month following April 14, participants will be entitled to a 30-minute one-on-one with Laurie on Zoom to talk about their photos taken during the workshop.
